James Corden, host of CBS talk show “The Late Late Show,” will take his hosting talents the 59th Annual Grammy Awards on Feb. 12, 2017. His new gig marks the end of LL Cool J’s five-year stint as master of ceremonies for Music’s Biggest Night.

Despite having large shoes to fill, Corden won’t disappoint if his show’s viral “Carpool Karaoke” segment is any indicator. He’s likable and funny, and could bring a different energy to the Grammys.

“I am truly honored to be hosting the GRAMMYs next year,” said Corden. “It’s the biggest, most prestigious award show in music and I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such an incredible night.”

Nominees for next year’s ceremony will be announced Tuesday, Dec. 6. A few big contenders include Beyoncé, Adele, Drake and Chance the Rapper.
